Without the help of volunteers, Guitar Fest would not be possible. There is a tremendous amount of work to be done to organize and arrange a week-long festival such as the Zihuatanejo International Guitar Festival, but a lot of fun to be had in the process, as well! We are very grateful to those able and willing to offer their time and efforts in this regard.

Bi-lingual Volunteers are especially needed.

We need RELIABLE movers and shakers to do a variety of chores in the months leading up to Guitar Fest and during the week of the festival itself.

Advertising sponsorships must be gathered, promotional materials distributed, musicians must be transported, venue gates must be manned by volunteers, T-shirts and other promotional materials must be sold, raffle tickets peddled and a thousand little tasks performed behind the scenes to make each festival a success.

We need to be able to count on you, your support and your energy!

Types of volunteers required:

  • On-Site Volunteers – work during Festival week at Festival venues manning gates, collecting and selling entry tickets, raffle tickets and merchandise, distributing Festival programs and orienting Festival patrons. Minimum age: 14. Report directly to the General or On-Site Volunteer Coordinator
  • Transportation Volunteers – work during Festival week, including musicians travel days, for transporting artists and equipment to and from airport, hotels and venues, as well as for general delivery duties as needed. Transportation volunteers must provide and be responsible for their own vehicle. Minimum age: 18. Report directly to the General or Transportation Volunteer Coordinator
  • Promotional Volunteers – work prior to the Festival selling advertising, distributing posters, programs and disseminating Festival information and promotional materials. Report directly to members of the Organizing Committee and/or the General Volunteers Coordinator

  • Promotional Volunteers will be given a letter of authorization from the Festival Committee accrediting them for ad sales and promotional activities
  • The names of all Volunteers will appear on the Festival website in recognition of their contribution of their time and efforts
